4F has just started a new sports partnership, by signing a 4-year agreement with the Polish Cycling Federation. The brand will supply competition, training and official clothing for the men’s and women’s teams in indoor track, road, MTB, BMX and cross bicycle categories.
The collection for the Polish cycling team consists of three parts: competition (for national team races, it includes a two-piece starting set and a one-piece track suit), training (for physical exercise and training, it includes a waterproof softshell, a functional T-shirt and shorts, footwear) and official (for wearing during official sports events, ceremonies and press briefings, it includes a track suit set and a polo shirt). The sets were tailored to each competitor, with several rounds of measurements and fittings.
The collection was designed using high-quality technical materials, with quick dry and aerodynamic functionalities, identical to those used by the world’s best cycling teams. Competition clothing is a new quality in terms of knitwear – it has far higher density, increasing durability and cutting drag. This improves airflow, a key factor in cycling. All but indoor track and road competition sets are made with taped seams, preventing chafing during increased physical effort. Competition shorts include gel inserts, with density matching the given cycling discipline. Socks are an important part of the cyclists’ dress. The items provided by 4F are made of two materials: the foot is made of wool, providing comfort and reducing the risk of chafing, while knitwear from the ankle upwards has aerodynamic features. The collection’s colour palette is inspired by the Polish flag – pure white and juicy red. The training line also features grey and black. Competition line materials were imported from Italy, with production predominantly in Poland.
Cyclists will don their new costumes at the Track Cycling World Championships in Hong Kong on 12-16 April. 4F brand will be partner of the HERO 2017 cycling marathon in the Dolomites on 15-17 June, where the Polish Cycling Federation is sending an MTB team. The partnership agreement covers other official sports events, such as European Championships, official cycling races and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The 4F online store will offer models inspired by the Polish Cycling Federation collection starting mid-June 2017.
4F cooperates with the Polish Athletics Association, the Polish Ski Federation, the Polish Biathlon Association, the Polish Speed Skating Association, and the Polish Handball Federation. The brand dressed 381 athletes for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Besides appearing on the Polish National team costumes, the 4F logo made its debut on costumes of athletes from Serbia and Latvia.
