Our latest collection for the Polish team was prepared for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Work is under way on our collection for the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
The Rio 2016 Olympic collection prepared by 4F includes Opening Ceremony, training and sports casual outfits. The core is seamless functional clothing and supreme quality sports materials, providing ventilation and user comfort, complemented by a broad range of accessories such as footwear, sunglasses, caps, bags and backpacks.
Olympic collections are created by a several-dozen strong 4F team, comprising designers, clothing technologists and graphic artists, with work on each collection taking 2 years.
The Rio 2016 collection combines modern design with national colours. Besides white we have used red neon, the a stronger and deeper version of classic red. We have combined dynamic designs and reflective technologies with prints. Our idea was to join Polish tradition and Brazilian culture, as Rio de Janeiro is a dynamic, active city, fully of energetic people.
The 4F Olympic Collection for Rio is 225 women’s and 425 men’s sets for athletes, trainers and Olympic support team members, with each set containing around 70 items of clothing and accessories.

The 4F brand and the Latvian Olympic Committee started cooperation in November 2015, working on the Olympic Collections for Rio 2016, the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, as well as other significant sports events over 2017-202, such as the European Youth Olympic Festival and the Youth Olympic Games. Additionally, as part of its mission to inspire people to undertake physical activity and change lifestyles, 4F will support the Latvian educational programme Sporto visa klase, providing physical exercise and training sets for students and school teachers.
The Rio 2016 Olympic Collection includes 150 sets for athletes, coaches and the Olympic team, with each set containing 30 items of clothing, 5 pairs of shoes and 18 items of accessories.
The Rio 2016 collection strikes a balance between national colours and symbols, and their modern interpretation that is both simple and trendy. Our designers started by reviewing archive imagery showing Latvian athletes from past Olympic Games, dating as far as 1936. This was the foundation for a collection that proudly bears the traditional Latvian braid, symbolising Olympic strength and unity, presented against national colours, with a strong presence of carmine red, whites and dark grey.
